Sun Joe SPX3000 Pressure Washer Unboxing & Test

Sun Joe SPX3000 Pressure Washer

We bought a Sun Joe SPX3000 Pressure Washer 2030 Max PSI 1.76 GPM 14.5-Amp Electric High. Let’s see how it does…

I take our new / refurbished Pressure Washer out of the shipping box, assemble it, and give it a little test.

It was a bit on the expensive side, but it has lots of power for a home unit and I think it will do fine for our needs. We even bought the accessory brush kit that arrived after the video. Most of that stuff will appeal to my wife, I just like using the power with the 15 degree nozzle and let the debris fly.

When I put it together I didn’t know what that little plastic piece was all about. Later I, shockingly, read the instructions and found it was the pocket to store the end of the wand. I put pictures of it installed in the video.

It does have a soap thing you can fill with soap and snap it onto the end of the wand. I don’t see me using the soap thing, water usually works fine for me. The sight of the soap bottle got my wife a little giddy, though, so kudos for that. I didn’t test the soap bottle. Didn’t even take it seriously until writing this. My Bad. I’m sure it works, it’s a simple siphon and connects between the end of the wand and the nozzle with quick connects.

Doing a little more research on these, there is apparently a series of TV commercials in different parts of the world that are selling them. Those that are returned get cleaned up and put on the Amazon – Used area at a big discount. Very sorry if you paid full price (let me know in the comments what you paid). We bought ours around $150 in the Amazon Used area. However it was factory sealed, everything was there (except 1 screw), however in a brown box with krinkle paper packaging.

I retired from a large mid-western medical equipment manufacturer on December 31 (2019) and decided to try to let everyone in on my life and my transition into retirement. I have a varied set of interests. I live in a 90 year old cape cod in the middle of a small city of 70,000 people. I have a small lot across the street from the city seat of government, but despite that I have a 1952 Allis Chalmers farm tractor that I drive around the city from time to time. My wife has a business that has me fixing and creating cool home decor out of broken windows and drywall screws. I have been known to buy things on 'for sale' lists, fix it up, clean it up, generally add value and sell it off. Oh, yes, I'm getting chickens! But first I have to build the chicken coop and run. It will be like no other you have ever seen. Also will give me something to do. I am into home automation, have a Home Assistant enabled home and so will the chickens! I'll have to give them a password...
