This is the video where I finally fix-up an old bandsaw that I’ve been using in my basement for over 31 years now. Things have gone a bit shabby making the think basically unusable.

The neighbor had a bandsaw that wad very similar, but was pulley modified to turn at slow speed fr metal cutting. All he wanted was the motor drive line and was tossing the rest out. Well the rest is what I needed to fix mine back up to working condition.

I remove the bad parts, do some bending of guards and covers, align the blade, and make it work real nice.

Then we add a contraption that was on the old saw just because I wanted to see how that worked. It didn’t seem to do much, but it was interesting to see and maybe with a new blade in there, it would be helpful.

I’m glad I finally took the time to fix-up an old bandsaw and brought you along to see it happen.
