Meet My Saw of Death Wood Saw

Meet My Saw of Death Wood Saw

In this video, I’m excited to finally have you Meet My Saw of Death Wood Saw that I’ve been teasing for months! Today, we’ll be digging it out of hibernation and putting it to good use.

This is a no-name 28″ belt driven saw mounted in (I think) a homemade frame. The saw is set-up to do crosscut, probably to process slab wood that would be waste from a sawmill. I’m going to get it out of storage and attach it to my trusty 1952 Allis Chalmers WD tractor via a belt, and then use it to cut my split up firewood into 4 inch lengths.

You might be wondering why I want to cut the wood into 4 inch pieces, so let me explain. That size fits perfectly in my Englander Pellet burner, which allows me to burn a little free fuel along with the expensive pellets. Besides, the price of pellets has gone up significantly since I first installed my pellet burner – from $3.50 per 40 pound bag to over $5.50 now! So, equally important, I want to burn as few of them $$ as possible.

Well, not to keep you in suspense, I am successful in this endeavor. The video of the process is about 25 minutes long, and at the end, I added about 3 hours of me using the saw and dealing with the wood. Furthermore, I’d love it if you could just let this play in the background while you’re doing something else – my viewing hours are a bit low, and I’m trying to get them up to be able to turn on ad revenue. A little ASMR of listening to the tractor Purr and watch someone else work, what could be more relaxing than that?

Next, any ads that you’ve seen on my videos have been in YouTube’s favor, so getting ad revenue turned on would be very helpful to my cause. So, finally, please like, comment, and subscribe for more content from me – Sir GoodEnough!

I retired from a large mid-western medical equipment manufacturer on December 31 (2019) and decided to try to let everyone in on my life and my transition into retirement. I have a varied set of interests. I live in a 90 year old cape cod in the middle of a small city of 70,000 people. I have a small lot across the street from the city seat of government, but despite that I have a 1952 Allis Chalmers farm tractor that I drive around the city from time to time. My wife has a business that has me fixing and creating cool home decor out of broken windows and drywall screws. I have been known to buy things on 'for sale' lists, fix it up, clean it up, generally add value and sell it off. Oh, yes, I'm getting chickens! But first I have to build the chicken coop and run. It will be like no other you have ever seen. Also will give me something to do. I am into home automation, have a Home Assistant enabled home and so will the chickens! I'll have to give them a password...
