Will this thing work?

I’ve decided to try out Plastic Welding for the first time, and I’m excited to share my experience with you all. Besides being a relatively new skill, I thought it would be perfect for fixing that broken lawnmower discharge chute at my Cottage.

Now that I have my little plastic welding set-up, let’s see how it works out. First, I bought the supplies online from some affordable sources – $5 for the welder and accessories from AliExpress. The Jungle Website Returns Box store was a good place to find the unit itself.

Equally important, having this skill will make me more self-sufficient in my DIY projects. I’ll be able to fix things on my own, without relying on others or buying new parts every time. Moreover, it’s also going to help me save some money in the long run.

Finally, I learned a valuable lesson today: don’t give too much power to your plastic welding gun! The $5 yellow welding gun started to melt, and I realized that I need to work with its limitations. Next time, I’ll make sure to break down the project into smaller segments to avoid overheating.
