I bought myself a cheap SMD soldering station from Amazon. The one I bought is from TxinLei, but the same device branded with the names Sumsour, DGKS, and others are available with the same 8586 Model number. My price was less than $40 and it is still available for that kind of price from AliExpress right now.
The unit comes with spare parts, tips, and tools, everything you need for a new Maker to solder some D1Mini’s or build some pixel light displays and more.
The blower will work to melt solder on SMD’s, but it also does an awesome job on heat shrink and removing components from circuit boards.
The iron comes with 10 or so different tips, and there’s spare blower parts should you ever need them.
