Hi everyone, welcome back to WhatAreWeFixing.Today! Today’s video is all about taking care of my trusty  air compressor and installing a new PEX air compressor hard line. As I’ve mentioned before, this machine has been used sparingly over the years, but it’s still essential for my garage workshop, where I’ve built many tin-men and filled numerous tires. So, first things first, we need to do some basic maintenance on  the compressor itself, which is equally important as installing the hard line.

Besides performing routine checks and making sure everything is in working order, we’re also adding a PEX tubing based air compressor hard line that can be mounted to the ceiling for safety reasons. Now, I know what you’re thinking why didn’t I do this sooner? Well, the truth is, until now I had two air hoses on the  floor as a trip hazard, which was not only annoying but also posed a risk of accidents. But with the new hard line in place, along with whip hoses and coil lines, my workspace is now much safer.

Furthermore, installing a PEX tubing based hard line is actually quite simple and doesn’t require any  specialized tools or knowledge. All you need is some basic plumbing skills and a bit of creativity. The  process involves cutting the PEX tubing to the right length, attaching it to the air compressor and  
other necessary components, and then mounting it to the ceiling.
