I’m excited to share with you my brand new Lotos cutter-welder from Technology Model LYPDC2000D, which is a birthday present from the Boss! It’s a MIG/stick/plasma cutter designed for hobbyist level and beginner work. Besides being a great gift, it’s also a valuable addition to my DIY toolkit.
Furthermore, I also have a plasma cutter that I bought from my neighbor. Unfortunately, while cutting up a scrap pellet stove, I overheated it and blew out the output transistors. Nor was I able to fix it yet, so the boss bought me a new one. And what’s more, the new one can not only stick weld and TIG weld, but also plasma cut.
In addition to its capabilities, cutting went well for a person that was cutting for the 2nd tile ever. So, I found that stick welding with a modern DC machine is SOO much easier and smoother than welding with my old transformer welder. Lastly, I built firebox shielding for my pellet stove using grid-wall and had some fun testing out the new cutter-welder.
