Today we are growing my own magnets sorta… Let me rephrase that…**
I want to share with you how I’m using some old hard drive magnets from a previous stream. Besides being interesting, they can also be useful for fixing problems with your pellet stove’s hopper. Today we take the magnets we harvested and put them to use.
Firstly, I need to clean up some of the non-magnetic parts and make them flat and as small as possible. We will use our new LOTOS Plasma cutter and some other methods to get the job done. Furthermore, using a plasma cutter is a great way to cut through metal safely and efficiently.
After that, we take a bunch of cleaned-up magnets and glue them to the inside bottom of my Pellet
Stove’s hopper. The reason for this is I am burning some questionable pellet sized material in there and a few nails have showed up to jam the top auger. In order to recover from that, I need to remove all the pellets from the hopper, clear the jam, and put the pellets back in.
