In this video we fix the wash machine pump on my Whirlpool wash machine. I don’t cut my finger or drop anything on my head, but I do touch a 120v AC mains wire and liven the party up a bit.
While changing the pump, which I thought was causing the problem, I find a piece of wire jammed in the washtub valve that was likely the actual problem. As long as it’s fixed and my partner is happy, then it’s all good, right?
After I re-assemble and test the machine, we take apart the pump and see what makes it tick on the bench.
